The Capricorn Field Archers are a group of enthusiastic field archers from many different backgrounds brought together by their common interest in archery. With club shoots held most Sundays, the hopeful archers assemble around eight in the morning at the club grounds at Alton Downs, the practice range is set and the shooters prepare their equipment.

LifeStraws
We have recently been working at highlighting the LifeStraw as a superb water filter, camping and hunting necessity, and something every home should have in case of an emergency.
Here are some points on LifeStraw:
1. About 1 billion lack clean water to drink – as a result water borne diseases are rife, with half of the world’s hospital beds being used by someone with a disease caught by drinking unfit water. It is all the water they have and they have no choice. Even well water is contaminated in most cases.
2. 6000, mostly children, die every day as a result.
3. LifeStraw was designed by Vestergaard Frandsen, a Swiss scientific company, to assist in this world crisis. Until recently the only use of LifeStraw has been as distributed by the largest Humanitarian Aid Organisations or as used by Governments.
